Abstract
The heavy oil steam soak is started rather late in Dagang oilfield and is still at the exploratory stage now. After the steam stimulation test of 4 wells in two blocks,it is found that there is the same rules in both the steam injection process and the development effect.Whether the steam injection well is far from or near the oil wells, whose oil rate is enhanced. However, the water cut increases rapidly in the steam injection process,at the same time, there is steam channeling in the steam injection process. This paper summarizes the steam soak rules of volcanic reservoir and a number of technical problems.By summing up these rules,it is hoped to use as a reference to the steam soak of the volcanic heavy oil reservoirs in Dagang Oilfield.
