Abstract
Siloxane was blent with low density polyethylene(LDPE)and grafted on LDPE to imˉprove the properties of LDPE.The result of infrared spectroscopy shows that graft polymerˉization takes place between LDPE and siloxane.And scanning electron micoscope was employed to analyse the fracture surface of environmental stress cracking of blent LDPE and grafted LDPE.Result of study shows that environmental stress cracking,tensile strength,elongation at break,and breakdown voltage of grafted LDPE are better than that of blent LDPE except incepˉtion voltage of electric treeing and fluidity.
