Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the epidemiological trend and harmful level of tuberculosis, to evaluate execution of the Tuberculosis Control Program 2001-2010 and efficacy of TB control project. METHODS Chest X-ray, sputum smear, sputum culture and TB knowledge investigation were carried out among people 15 years and over population. Social economic study was done for the active pulmonary tuberculosis cases. RESULTS The prevalence of active pulmonary tuberculosis was 505.9 / 100 000, the prevalence of smear positive pulmonary tuberculosis was 49.4 / 100 000 and the prevalence of bacteriological positive pulmonary tuberculosis was 111 / 100 000. Newly discovered number of active patients was 85.37 percent in total number of patients. Knowledge and awareness of TB was 63.91 percent. CONCLUSION TB control work has a long way to go, there are some newly tuberculosis patients. The tuberculosis control should be strenghened in our province in recent years.
