Ancient China did not form the idea of democracy in its modern sense. Actually, democracy is a topic after the democratic idea entered the Chinese society and fused into the Chinese national culture; then democratic spirit became an important part of the national Chinese spirit after China staged on the modern era. The process that the Chinese people appealed to democratic belief and institute had witnessed a course from simple introductions to learning and imitation, and finally to adapting to the Chinese context. All the famous revolutionary movements, such as the 1898 Reform Movement, the Bourgeois Revolution led by Sun Yetsen, the Democratic Movement by all liberalist parties, and the New Democratic Revolution, are social practices of the Chinese people who sought democratic thoughts and institute. In this process, democratic culture merged into the Chinese civilization, and the western democracy was gradually Chinenized, which brought forward the formation of the Chinese national spirit.
