On the Chinese Music Research in German Related Documents

The Germany is one of earliest countries to advocate the diversity researching and teaching music.The Germany scholars started to use the comparative musicology,ethnomusicology to research non-European music in the end of the 19~th century.As a branch of the ethnomusicology,the study of Chinese music also started around this time.In the very beginning they mainly were collecting Chinese music,then based on the foundation gradually emerged on scholars to research of this field.From then to now,during more than 100 years,the range of research gradually expanded,and the field of the study gradually enriched.In this paper the author,based on seen the related Germany literature on,made an analysis of Chinese music research in Germany with its origin,development and present situation.
