On the Limit of Academic Freedom and Academic Responsibility

The academic freedom is the idea which is pursued by the scholars in the academic field,while the academic freedom theoretically is the unlimited freedom of thought.But the academic freedom is actually one kind of limited freedom.The academic responsibility requires the scholars to undertake not only the academic responsibility but also the citizen responsibility in the limited field of the academic freedom.The academic freedom and the academic responsibility,the academic rights and academic obligation,these are two aspects of one thing as well as complementary to each other.The purpose of this article is to point out that the scholars should undertake the corresponding responsibility actively in the limited field of the academic freedom to promote the academic development.Only in this way can the scholars' enjoying the academic freedom be guaranteed while undertaking the academic responsibility.
