Abstract

Correlation analysis and measuration of the leaf traits of herbaceous plant in Beijing Yeyahu Wetland were carried out such as leaf nitrogen concentration,specific leaf area,leaf thickness,leaf volume,leaf dry matter content and leaf density.Result showed that there was correlation between leaf functional traits of wetland plant,and it could be classified into two groups and an isolated trait: the first group included dry weight,fresh weight,leaf area,thickness and volume;the second correlation group included specific leaf area,leaf dry matter content and leaf density;and the isolated trait was leaf nitrogen content.These herbaceous species could be clustered into four functional groups according to the functional traits by hierarchical cluster method.The specific leaf area and the leaf dry matter content could be combined together as the reference for the functional group classification of wetland plants.
