Abstract
There were hundreds of ideological schools during Pre-Qin period,and the most influential schools were Confucianism,Taoism,Mohism,and Legalism.With the historical development,their destinies were different: Mohism was dreary,Legalism declined,Confucianism was rising and gained the dominant position of Chinese traditional culture,and the Taoism followed and cooperated with the Confucianism,leading the development trend of Chinese traditional culture.And the reasons can only be concluded from the thinking characteristics of these four schools.
