Transit Metropolis:On the Source Treatment of Urban Traffic Congestion——Taking Construction of Transit Metropolis in Wenzhou City as an Example

Urbanization and mechanization have led to much more severe traffic congestion,bringing greater challenge to the sustainable development of the city.The traffic congestion in cities mainly originates from the constructive conflict between public transportation and land use in cities and the conflict between public transportation and private automobiles.Transit metropolis is a new mode of development of the city,aiming at realizing the collaborative development of both public transportation and the city itself.It is also a new notion of relieving the traffic congestion in cities.The key to construct transit metropolis is to form bus-leading developing structure based on the distinguished strategies and the multilevel space arrangement of the city.By improving the attractiveness of public transportation and restricting the private automobiles,the public transportation will enjoy great priority.The transformation of the two structures will lead to fundamental relief of the traffic congestion,following a new urbanization development.,
