Analysis on forest landscape pattern of Changbaishan mountains based on GIS

With the stock state map and survey data of sub-compartment in Jingouling Forest Farm as the basic information,and by using ArcMap and Fragstats,the forest landscape patterns in the farm were analyzed from three aspects of overall landscape characteristics,landscape patch and landscape heterogeneity.The results show that the overall landscape was dominated by forest land,other landscape types distributed in the forest land with sporadic distribution and the area of natural forest was larger than that of plantation landscape;the mix forest dominated the forest landscape by lower fragmentation,comparatively complicated patch shapes and centralized patch distribution,but plantation landscape had smaller area,simpler patch shape and a higher degree of fragmentation.Generally,there were a high heterogeneity and abundant landscape types in the forest form,but the plantation landscape was heavily disturbed by anthropogenic activities,and the stand structure was unreasonable.Therefore,the patch structures should be adjusted and landscape diversity should be protected.
