Abstract
In the late period of Qing dynasty,Zhang Jian made outstanding contributions in saving the nation by industry. From founding Dasheng cotton mill,he gradually greatened the enterprises in Nantong,Jiangsu area. In the years of development,Zhang Jian's theory of saving the nation by industry is gradually formed and it had very profound influence in other fields.
