Abstract
The characteristic of paraffin wax was changed by catalytic oxidation reaction with using polythene wax as raw material. The obtained oxidized wax whose performance was similar to that of natural carnauba wax was used for preparing car polish wax instead of natural carnauba wax. The micro emulsion which was prepared by oxidized wax was studied. The effects of component of micro emulsion as well as the emulsification condi-tions on the oxidized wax micro emulsion were reviewed. The results showed that when the mass ratio of oxidized wax to emulsifier was 1:0.50, emulsi-fication time was 50min, temperature was 90~95℃ and stirring speed was 1200~1500r/min, the appearance, glossy and film forming ability of car polish wax were excellent.
