Wang Duanshu’s thoughts on Ci:a critic in late Ming Dynasty and early Qing Dynasty

Among the starry Ci critics in Ming Dynasty,Wang Duanshu,an accomplished woman critic,was one of them.Her masterpiece Poetry of Famous Women exhibits her meticulous theory and fresh criticism.Her viewpoint of Ci could be seen as the continuity of Li Qingzhao’s Ci theory as well as a pioneering work for female Ci-poetry criticism.In this sense,Wang Duanshu is a key figure for Ci studies in Ming and Qing Dynasties.
