Abstract
By polymerase chain reaction restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR RFLP), growth hormone gene in Holstein and yak of Tibet was tested.A polymorphic AluⅠsite in the fifth exon at position 2141 was verified, one could be designated allele A and the other allele B. In yak and Holstein, the allele frequencies of A were 0 905 and 0 935 respectively, and those of B were 0 095 and 0 065 respectively without significant difference(P0 05).
