Effect of Kidney Tonify Herbs on Ultrastructure of Pituitary and Testis in Kidney Yang Deficiency Rats

Objective:To explore relationship of kidney yang deficiency and the function change of hypothalamus-pituitary-testis as well as the mechanism of kidney tonify herbs.Methods:The model of kidney yang deficiency were made by injecting acetic acid cortisone in rats.To observe the ultrastructure change of pituitary and testis in kidney yang deficiency rat and regulation of tonify kidney herbs for it by electron microscopy.Results:In gonadotroph of kidney yang deficiency rat which was injected cortisone,the endoplasmic reticulum and golgiosome expanded seriously,mitochondria cavitated and nucleus was pycnosis.The blood-testis barrier expanded and presented many different size vacuoles in seminiferous epithelium of testis convolutde seminiferors tubule.Kidney tonify herbs cadm improve the ultrastructure damage of pituitary of kidney yang decificency rat,but it can't modulate it of testis.Conclusions:Kidney yang tonify of kidney tonify herbs involved that it improve the ultrastructure damage of pituitary of kidney yang decificency rat.
