A Research on XML Ontology Construction

Abstract

After introduction of the concept of semantic Web,concentrate the research on the RDFS layer and ontology layer of the semantic Web model. On the basis of review of the basic attributes and formal formats of RDF and RDFS,describes the methods for the construction of XML ontology by using OWL and analyses the characteristic and superiority of each method. At the end,makes a comparison of RDFS and OWL in detail to illustrate the relationship between them. The research of this paper is in hopes of making contribution to the development of semantic Web.
