Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of hysterosalpingography(HSG)for tubal infertility. Methods:A total of 119 female infertile patients undergoing laparoscopy after HSG were included. The tubal and pelvic pathologies were compared within operative procedures. Results:With surgical findings as the gold standard,HSG had a total coincidence of 84.3%(194/230)and 90.8%(59/65),a specificity of 61.4%(27/44) and 63.6%(7/11),a sensitivity of 89.8%(167/186) and 96.3%(52/56),and a Youden index of 0.512 and 0.599 for diagnosis of tubal patency and pelvic factor, respectively. Conclusions:As a preliminary economic method,HSG has special diagnostic value for detection of female upper genital tract pathologies.
