Abstract
Protease and amylase distribution in adult fish and their activity variation in larval and juvenile of .Cynoglossus semilaevis. Gunther were studied. As observed, the amylase and protease activities could be detected in oosperm. During the larval and juvenile phase, the activities of amylase presented highest in 30-days-old and 60-days-old juveniles, lowest in 2-days-old larvae. The highest activities of protease occurred in 8-days-old larvae, relatively low in 14-days-old larvae, 30-days-old and 60-days-old juveniles. Like the amylase activity, the lowest appeared in 2-days-old larvae either. In adult, the amylase activity was different in the organs of alimentary canal: liver hindgut foregut midgut. The amylase activity in liver was significantly different from that in intestine (.P.0.01). Protease activity in alimentary canal presented a gradient of liver hindgut midgut foregut. The highest activities of both amylase and protease were detected in liver.
