Abstract
A novel super-absorbent resin based on cassava starch,acid-acrylate,acrylamide was synthesized by using aqueous solution polymerization, ammonium persulfate and sodium bisulfate as initiator and N,N'-methylene biasacrylamide as cross-linking agent.Single factor test indicates that reaction temperature, amount of initiator, amount of cross-linking agent, neutralization degrade of acrylic acid, amount of acrylamide were the key factors on water absorbency.Orthogonal design indicates the optimum synthesis conditions were: reaction temperature 50 ℃,amount of initiator 0.6%,amount of cross-linking agent 0.04%,neutralization degree of acrylic acid 85%,and amount of acrylamide 20%.
