Abstract

Powdery mildew is one of the most destructive diseases in melon(Cucumis melo L.)production in China. In this experiment,we studied the AFLP marker linked to powdery mildew resistance in melon line 7-2 by BSA method. The hybrids and segregation populations derived from resistant line 7-2 and susceptible lines 7-1 and 7-3 were used for this study. We have established a highly stable and optimized AFLP protocol, and found M60/E25-520 marker was linked to one powdery mildew resistant gene of melon.
