A Discussion on Pathogenesis of Chronic Hepatitis B

The pathogenesis of chronic hepatitis B is related to dampness and heat, which are the causative factors for the occurrence of the disease. Dysfunction of the spleen is the internal basis for the onset of the disease, stagnation of the liver collaterals is an important factor for the development of the disease and deficiency of the liver and kidney is the inevitable outcome of the disease. The pathological features of the disease is deficiency of the anti-pathogenic factors with lingering of the pathogenic factors, which gives rise to this chronic disease with changes and recurrence. Satisfactory results can only be obtained by treating the disease according to the condition of individual patients.
