Abstract

The increasing use of electromagnetic acoustic transducer(EMAT)in NDT has become possible due to its a good many merits.The proper design of the corresponding circuit requires sufficient knowledge about the characters of the transducer.It discusses a simple circuit that will enable the reactance and resistance of an EMAT to be determined in cases where a high quality impedance measuring instrument is unavailable.
