Abstract
In order to investigate the effect of pH on egg hatching and tadpole development of Rana dybowskii under the house temperature of 21-23 ℃ and by the means of one-factor experiment, hatching rate of eggs, live body weight of tadpoles, metamorphosis rate and the body weight of newborn tadpole were studied. The results showed that the proper pH for egg hatching was from 4 to 11 and pH from 7-9 caused higher hatching rates than the others. The survival rates of 47.95%,48.98%,5.65% and 43.64% were obtained in testing groups of pH of 6,7,8 and 9 respectively. In the testing groups of pH of 5.5,6.5 and 7.5,the metamorphosis rates were obtained 94.00%,93.00%and 82.00% respectively, and the body weight of young frog after metamorphosis were(267.33±46.97)mg,(278.67±37.67)mg,(260.67±35.52)mg.
