Abstract
Three-level inverter is one of the main components of high-power medium-voltage system and SVPWM algorithm is the key part.The basic principle of three-level space vector pulse-width modulation(SVPWM) algorithm based on reference voltage decomposition was discussed.The traditional space-vector modulation algorithm of a two-level inverter was applied to a three-level inverter.The implement steps of this algorithm were showed.The effects of the modulation algorithm on neutral-point potential were analyzed theoretically based on which an improved algorithm was proposed.Neutral point potential could be controlled effectively by the improved algorithm in low frequency switch applications.Finally,the proposed algorithm was applied to a three-level voltage source inverter for induction motor based on a Matlab model,and the effectiveness of the algorithm was verified through experimental simulation.
