Abstract
Genetic diversity of twelve accessions of Strobilanthes tonkinensis was evaluated by RAPD.The results showed that 305 bands were amplified by 41 random primers, among which 120 were polymorphic, accounting for 39.34% of the total bands, which revealed a low degree of genetic diversity among the twelve accessions. The genetic similarity analysis demonstrated that their genetic similarity coefficients were between 0.734 4 and 0.963 9.The phylogenetic dendrogram with UPGMA revealed that the twelve accessions could be divided into two clusters I and II(D=0.821).More over, the germplasm resources coming from the same geographic area presented closer relationship in phylogeny.
