An Implementation of Metadata Cache in Object-based Storage System

Abstract

The metadata accessing speed is one of key factors of system performance in object-based storage system.A method for implementation of metadata cache presents at clients.The protocol of metadata operation guarantees the consistency for metadata cache.The hash-based LFU-DA increases the efficiency of searching metadata cache.Experi- mentation results indicate that the method improves average response time and I/O performance remarkably.
