Abstract
The volatile and semi-volatile acidic components in tobacco were analyzed qualitatively by(comprehensive) two-dimensional gas chromatography/time-of-flight mass spectrometry(GC×GC/TOFMS) and GC/TOFMS.The results showed that only 24 organic acids and 4 phenols were identified by GC/TOFMS;however,a total of 107 acidic components, including 82 organic acids and 25 phenols, were characterized by GC×GC/TOFMS via automated data processing combined with chromatogram aided qualitative analysis and manual rectification.
