Video-assisted thoracic surgery of chest injury

Video-assisted thoracic surgery(VATS) is a new innovation for the diagnosis and treatment of chest injury,which is invasive and the patients can get well quickly after surgery.VATS is now widely accepted as a safe and effective procedure for many kinds of thoracic trauma,such as traumatic hemothorax,pneumothorax,diaphragmatic rupture,cardiac and large vessel injuries,chylothorax,post-traumatic empyema and multiple rib fracture.It is very important to normalize the criterion of case selection,peri-operative treatment and operative skills.
