Effect of 5% fipronil SC on controlling rice caseworm

Abstract

Efficacy test of fipronil 5% SC,triazophos 20% EC and 40% dusiben against rice caseworm was carried out.The results indicated that the control effects of 5% fipronil SC at 300-600 mL/ hm2 on rice caseworm were obviously higher than those of triazophos 20% EC and the highest was 97.6% with long efficiency during peak activity of 1-2 instar larvae.Considering the using cost and control effect of reagent,fipronil 5% SC at 450mL/ hm2 should be advised to use in practical application.
