Abstract
Pot experiment was carried out to study the influence of drought stress on the physiological characters of 3 flue-cured tobacco varieties i.e.Yun87,6002 and NC89 with 3 nitrogen levels including low nitrogen, medium nitrogen and high nitrogen. The results showed that net photosynthetic rate, stomatal conductance, transpiration rate and chlorophyll content decreased step by step under drought stress, then increased after drought stress was relieved, while proline and malondiadehyde contents showed upside, indicating flue-cured tobacco was very sensitive to drought stress.Yun87 was more tolerant than the others and flue-cured tobacco benefited from more nitrogen against drought.
