Abstract
Based on the distribution characters of wetland,combined with the natural characteristics,hydrological characteristics,geological characteristics,and the ecological functions of each wetland,this paper analyzed all wetlands in Jiangxi province as a watershed and discussed the layout of wetland conservation regions.The layout also considered the similarity of wetland utilization,the continuity of administrative regions and watershed,the importance of each wetland,and its feasibility.We divided the wetlands in Jiangxi province into 3 wetland conservation regions,which were Poyang Lake region,lower reaches of 5 rivers region,and middle and upper reaches of 5 rivers and reservoirs wetland conservation region.According to their key ecological functions and conditions,we suggested each major conservation objective which every region should achieve and the measures which each region should take.
