Differential protein expression induced by low-concentration N-methyl-N′-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine in FL cells using two-dimensional gel electrophoresis

Abstract

AIM To study the protein profiling in mammalian cell attacked by low concentration N methyl N′ nitro N nitrosoguanidine(MNNG). METHODS Comparing the protein expression between MNNG exposed and control FL cell using two dimensional gel electrophoresis followed by 2 d image software analysis. RESULTS Ten protein spots were induced by MNNG and 5 protein spots were repressed. In addition the expression level of 30 protein spots was altered (P0.05), among them the expression of 16 protein spots was up regulatedand 14 protein spots down regulated. CONCLUSION There are a series alteration of protein expression in MNNG treated FL cell. It also suggested that these proteins involve in nontargeted mutagenesis.
