Abstract

Folk song flourished in the Ming Dynasty.With its increasing numbers,numerous melodies and abundant ways in reflecting life,folk songs contained strong artistic appeal.Folk songs in the Ming Dynasty were widely distributed among the people,because the people loved to hear and sing them.They also reached to the literary world and produced far-reaching influence on variety forms of literature,such as poem,essay and opera,especially on the creation of the Ming essay.Folk songs ushered a completely new way to theory and practice for essay creation in Ming Dynasty.
