Fritz Perls is the founder of the gestalt therapy, which is a humanistic consulting approach and therapy. It focuses on the client ' s feeling and experiences, uses the theories such as figure-background gestalt formation and destruction and ' contact/experience cycle to explain the cause of psychological conflicts and the principle. The greatest production of gestalt therapy is the two-chair technique. This technique is not only taking great clinical effeteness, but also supported by a lot of experimental researchers. In this thesis, the author introduces the past and present of the gestalt therapy, discusses the researches of the theory and technique, and estimates the effeteness of the practice as well.
