Efficacy of amiodarone for treatment of atrial fibrillation

Abstract

Objective To observe about the effect of amiodarone for the treatment of atrial fibrillation(AF). Methods: Amiodarone for the treatment of atrial fibrillation,it can be divided into two groups,one group is paroxysmal AF(34cases),another is persistent AF(16 cases). Results:After 6 months treatment of amiodraone,the utility of two groups is 88.24%、68.75% respectively.The utility is 78.71%、64.29% after 12 months treatment of amiodraone respectively. The effect is related to the size of left atrium,the lasting time of AF. Conclusion:Amiodarone therapy AF is safe.and it can be the first choice.
