Abstract
Di(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid was used as the extraction agent for the extraction of o-aminophenol in 2-octanol and kerosene.Equilibrium data for active and inactive diluents were obtained at various di(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid concentrations.Di(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid extracted both neutral and positive forms of o-aimnophenol.A maximum distribution coefficient occured between pKa1 and pKa2.The initial pH values have a large effect on D values, but effects of diluents on D are due to the physics extraction. At the given concentration extractabilities of di(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric increased as the polarity of dilutests agents.By Fourier transform infrared spectrophotometer (FTIR) proved that reaction exist it iron-association and iron-exchange reaction existed in process.
