Abstract
Operational amplifier using the cascade configuration enable the designer to optimize some of the secondorder performance specifications not possible with the classical twostage op amp.In particular, the cascade technique is useful for increasing the gain, increasing the value of PSRR,and allowing selfcompensation when used at the output. This flexibility has allowed the development of highperformance unbuffered op amps suitable for CMOS technology.Such amplifiers are widely used at present integrated circuits for telecommunications applications.A foldedcascode op amp is presented in this paper,The design is implemented in a standard 0.18 BiCMOS mixedsignal process and simulated with HSpice W2005.03.The specifications resulting from this simulation are compared to the design specifications in the end.
