Based on ecology, aesthetic conceptions and commerce, this paper introduced ornamental plants' main function, real value and application and held that potential ornamental plants are potted vegetable plants, garden green plants, special ornamental plants, sweet-smelling plants, ornamental flower and fruit plants and art plants.
