The Implications of Den Xiaoping's Comments on Mind Emancipation

In the history of New China,there have been two major discussions on Mind Emancipation,which contributed to the shaping of Deng Xiaoping's important comments on Mind Emancipation.Currently,it would be impossible to discuss Mind Emancipation without studying and using Deng Xiaoping's important comments on this topic for reference.This paper starts with a review of the two discussions on Mind Emancipation and a summary of.three characteristics and three connotations in Deng's comments.Then the paper points out the differences of the backgrounds and goals between the current discussion on Mind Emancipation and the two former ones.Finally,it highlights the important implications of Deng's comments for the current situation in China.
