Abstract
Objective:To explore the long-time efficacy of olanzipine in the treatment of executive dysfunction in schizophrenia. Method:29 cases of patients maintained treated with olanzipine and 24 cases of patients treated with chlorpromazine were included in the 2-years follow-up study.Executive function was tested with Wisconsin card sorting test(WCST). Results:At the time of 2-years,all the scores of total trial, perseverative errors and random errors on WCST were significantly decreased in the two groups of patients (P0.05 or P0.01);but the decreased rate of scores at all trial, perseverative errors and random errors on WCST of olanzipine group were significantly higher than that of chlopromazine group(P0.01). Conclusion:Olanzapine have a good efficacy in the long-time treatment of executive dfunction in schizophrenia.
