Abstract
This article analyzed hydrostatic strength and distortion under working condition and pipe end be sealed with high grade steel using finite element simulation method. The results showed that inside yield pressure and inside explosion pressure of pipe specimen which are under hydrostatic pressure with enough steel strength end restriction are same with that of using plane strain state, and effect on pipe ends is not obvious.Whereas there is great difference between pipe inside strain distribution and using status under sealing pipe end hydrostatic pressure.Only if specimen length and outside diameter ratio reach a certain value, the strain distribution in middle section of specimen may ignore pipe end effect.
