Abstract
Peracetic acid bleaching of cotton knitted fabric scoured with alkali and enzyme individually were carried out. Effects of alkali and enzyme on whiteness, strength, wetting time of the bleached fabric were studied, and the optimum parameters were defined. The results showed that the optimum conditions of enzymatic scouring were similar to that of alkaline scouring, i.e., peracetic acid 8g/L, sodium pyrophosphate 2 g/L, penetrant DX-2 2 g/L, pH value 7, bleaching at 70℃ for 60 minutes. The dyeing effects of cotton fabrics subjected to different preparations were also very close.
