Conditions for nitrogen and phosphorus eutrophication were found to be present in certain sections of the Yangtze River, including Wanzhou District. It was found in and investigation of the polluted zones along the river bank of Chongqing Proper that conditions for N and P eutrophication to occur were present in the water body around the city.
