Abstract

Objective To analyze the epidemiology characteristics of the public health emergency in Guangzhou.To provide science basis for public health emergency control and prevention.Method The public health emergency situation data of reporting to CDC in 2001-2006 were collected and analyzed by description epidemiological methods.Result There were 480 public health emergency(cases were 23836,and deaths were 126) in Guangzhou from 2001 to 2006,infectious diseases and food poisoning were the majority,most of the outbreaks occurred in schools and enterprises from March to June,and most patients were students and migrant workers.The average duration was 16.18 days and average timely report to CDC was 4.02 days.Conclusion The public health emergency in Guangzhou occurred frequently,some measures should be taken and developed for its prevention and control.
