Abstract
Based on the experimental studies of impermeable smooth submerged breakwater in the wave tank,it has been studied how the submerged breakwater impact on the characteristics of the wave profile and the energy when regular wave and random wave pass over a submerged breakwater. It discussed the influence of different wave parameter(period, wave height, submerged depth)on the wave height near the submerged breakwater. The impact of breakwater slope and the submerged depth on wave spectrum change were analyzed. The results showed that when wave passed over the submerged breakwater, the energy decreased, wave energy transmitted from low frequency domain to high frequency domain. The steeper submerged breakwater slope was,and smaller submerged depth was,the more violent wave energy attenuation occur;the super harmonics wave energy occupied 1%~30% of the total transmitted wave energy.
