Abstract
In the light of the adsorption of trace chloroactic acid in water and the difficulty of separation of powder ben- tonite from water in practical application, study on removal of trace chloroactic acid from aqueous solution at 25℃ have been carried out using Ti-pillared bentonite, formed bentonite and formed Ti-pillared bentonite prepared from Hebei prov- ince as sorbent respectively. Effect of adsorbate concentration and contact time on the adsorption process and the crystal structural change of different modified bentonite were discussed. The results is that bentonite and Ti-pillared bentonite have good adsorption capability. After they are formed, their water-resistant ability is increased and the adsorption capa- bility is decreasebecause of theirsurface reduced, butthey stillhave good adsorption capability.Furthermore, the adsorption isotherm of bentonite and Ti-pillared bentonite to chloroactic acid was also determined .
