Similar Aesthetic Features of LI Yu's and LI Qing-zhao's Poetries and the Contributing Factors

As LI Yu is praised as best poet of Ci(a kind of poetry popular in Song Dynasty in China),LI Qing-zhao is respected as the master of subtleness and conciseness in circle of Ci writers.Although they lived in two entirely different eras,they left readers quite similar aesthetic features in creation of Ci.The similarities are mainly shown as follows: they all express their real feelings in their poems,give readers a sense of smartness and naturalness and write poems pretty smoothly and orderly.With a high sense of aesthetic summarization,they open up a new period and space for Ci field;by exaggerating depth and width of grief,they exhibit a universal significance of life and an eternal charm of arts.Both of them are good at employing unique feeling-expression techniques and exact free writing styles;they endow abstract thinking and concept with visible images;they highlight matters by means of adding details which is a method in Chinese traditional painting;they also introduce rhythm with daily or colloquial words in a simple,straight forward style.There are mainly two reasons for aesthetic similarities: First,LI Qing-zhao draws on and inherits LI Yu's creative style consciously;second,both of them harbor a high literary accomplishment and all-round aesthetic talents,and have similar life experiences,all of which contribute to their similar aesthetic features.
