A Preliminary Exploration on the Teaching Reform of Higher Vocational English Reading

In the traditional mode of the teaching of English reading,teachers only provide the teaching plan,and students receive the plan and fulfill the teaching task passively,which cannot embodies the students' role as the main body.Nothing is left in their mind but the outline and some new words after their learning of each text.So they can't develop their ability of thinking in English and cannot really improve their English reading ability.In this paper,the author elaborates the teaching reform of English reading through the teaching of higher vocational English,which will infiltrate the development of thinking into English reading,stimulate the students to participate in the teaching of reading actively,and improve the students' English reading ability while improving their ability of thinking for English reading.
