Abstract

Japan's further invasion between 9.18 and 7.7 drew KMT's central authorities to great menace ,which made KMT speed up its pace of winning the Soviet Union's support while attacking CPC. Soviet Union, focusing its main attention on European affairs, feeling the pressure from KMT was eager to avoid fighting on both sides. But as a result of different strategic thinking, KMT's policy came inevitably to failure.
