Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression of interleukin-1β(IL-1β)in brain tissues after experimental intracerebral hemorrhage(ICH)in rats at different times and its effect on thrombin. Methods The expression of IL-1β in cerebral tissues at different time and the effect of thrombin on it were detected by immurohistochemitry techniques. Results There were IL-1β expressions of the perihematoma tissues found at 1 h and reached to a maximal value at 6 h after ICH and thrombin.Subsequentenly it decreased gradually and disappeared at 48 h.The IL-1β expression level of hirudin group was obviously lower than that of ICH group. Conclusion IL-1β plays a role in brain injury in ICH.Thrombin may have a brain injury role after ICH through improving IL-1β expression.
